Pet courier

Watch out for the size restrictions and other rules on crates - I know a (non obese!) Cairn Terrier who was recently classified as a 'Medium' sized dog for flying... Depends a bit on the company/where and how they will be couriered but crates can be expensive and so I'd not try to get all organised with buying one until you've selected a company.

Thanks! Probably should have made myself clear. I am just wanting a lift for a pup from Wales to Scotland :)
 
I don't know how much they charge and I don't have any recommendations but in your situation if I couldn't get a personal recommendation for a courier off someone I trusted then I would be inclined to put word around my friendship group and see if I could find a friend/friend of a friend who would be amenable to being paid to go and collect the pup. That way you can specify exactly how you want them dealt with and the pup will take a direct route home (I imagine the courier is likely to have multiple drop to do).
 
I'd make a long day or even a weekend of it - depends which bit of Wales/Scotland but you could probably find somewhere lovely in, e.g. the Lakes to break the journey.

Plus, slightly better guarantee that you want the pup as it currently is if you pick it up from breeder yourself.
