Has anyone used either of these petsitting companies 'animal angels' or 'animal aunts' to care for their horses or other pets whilst you have been away on holiday? Was your experience good/bad? would you use them again?
I am going away and dreading leaving all my animals at home!
Thank you

Havent used the 2 you've mentioned but did use another once (remaining nameless, dont want sueing!) they were bloody useless! All they had to do was turn up at lunchtime (between 12 and 2 not 4pm!) to walk my dogs, on leads! They lost one obvoiusly NOT on a lead, went back to my house and rang me - I was 150 miles away. Thankfully my husband came home early went to the park with a whistle and blew it - perfect recall!
To be fair, most of these agencies are franchises that people buy, anybody can buy and i'm sure some are great. But anybody can run a kennel or walking group. Now my dogs come with me and the horses are in DIY livery with cover when I need, but I'm a fan of asking the poor underpaid vet nurse if they want some extra cash - they're great and know what they're doing:). Also have a look on www.localpetpeopl.com I used to home board and advertise here till my pooch got poorly, read the advise given when it comes to choosing and I'm sure you'll find a great pet carer.

Hi yes, I have used animal aunts for probably 9 years now. They are excellent, in all that time I have only had a couple of very small issues which they have happily sorted out.

i can second this advice- a neighbour has used"Animal Aunts" many times, they work all over the country and are very reliable and professional, but are pricey. personally i'd rather pay a bit more for the expertise.
