What a huge contribution he made to racing. Condolences to his family who I'm sure will carry the flag forward. He really was a legend.

A friend once sent me an Injured Jockeys fund Xmas card of a painting of Sea Pigeon and Night Nurse in retirement munching hay in a barn. I hope I stl have it.
