Hi, not been on in months but this was sent to me and I knew this would be a good place to make sure lots of horsey people saw it and signed. Sorry if its already been highlighted!

Dear All

There is a petition on the Downing Street website against proposed changes to the highway code which would make it illegal for horses to ride 2 abreast on country roads and would ban horses from cycle paths -
(so much for equality of access!). I would urge you all to sign it using the link below. It is dead easy - I have just done it! There is more explanation of the proposed changes in the quote below

Thanks!

No probs, as I said, don't come on here anymore but thought best place to put it for maximum coverage. Soz if its been done to death!

Do these petitions do any good?

I have written to my MP about the proposed changes and luckily he has agreed to try and alter them, although whether they will be able to, who knows?

Alistair Carmicheal MP has tabled a question about it (or whatever the correct term is). I sent him an email when it was first posted on this site and he replied within 12 hours and he has also responded to the BHS direct. Dont usually have much to say about politicians but I was impressed with his response and how quickly he responded

Some ones on 10 downing st have had success, but its down to the level of support which they get at the end of the day.

I posted the petition up on the website.
