Can somebody please clarify the initial qualifying for me please?

I am a non member and my horse is not registered. I entered an affiliated prelim without a class ticket (as non members can at Prelim) and got 64%. Can I use this as one of the qualifying scores or do you have to buy class tickets in order for the scores to count?

I hope that makes sense and someone can explain!

Yes you can, the only requirement is that you are registered for the finals hope this helps,

Not quite - the rider has to be a BD member to ride at an AF but for Prelim, the horse doesn't have to be registered until the Finals in April.

echo Troi - the rider has to be registered to compete in an AF, but the horse dosent need to be registered unless you get to the finals.
