Im in desperate need of some new competion boots for dressage competitions and some new home boots and came across the Petrie Olympic boots. They seem a decent price as cant afford to spend loads. Has anybody had a pair of these boots? How do you find the cut/sizing?

Hi,
Sorry, had missed this! I don't have the Olympic but I do have a pair of the Anky and a pair of the Anky Elegance.
Foot-wise, they are very true to size. Other measurements are available in so many different combinations off the shelf that I am sure you will be able to find the right one for you. Remember to measure your leg with breeches and socks on!
I love Petrie boots!

Yes I have a pair of Petrie riding boots, love them, had them for about 7 years, a very well built and tailed leather boot and they have kept in great condition considering I don't really look after them as you should do and use them for general riding as well as competitions, would certainly have a second pair when these die on me, also impressed with the soles because they are very hard wearing, the only downside to this, because what feels to be quite a thick sole it means I can't feel my stirrups as mush as I'd like, I prefer a thinner sole.

Also to add, yes agree with FrodobBeutlin, they are true to size, mine are a 4.5 (felt a we bit tight to start with) but they give like all leather boots but in shoe sizes in most shops size 5 is a wee bit big but size 4's are too small, so yes, true to size but then I don't wear thick socks with them.
