Pheochromocytoma in humans...

Not myself but my son had one, a particularly nasty one with it being an extra adrenal.

As far as testing is concerned I would imagine you would need the symptoms first before they would actual test you.

I know a fair bit about these, in fact my son has been back to the specialist only today.

If you need any info or I can help let me know either via pm or on here.

Doing the 24hr urine test tomorrow as having various symptoms. Mainly high heart rate and palpitations even on high dose of beta blockers so cardiologist has booked me in for test xx

Thanks for your PM, unfortunately can't reply on mobile HHO.

Is the test still accurate even if you arn't having an attack when you do it? I did have an episode today when HR was 92 and having hot flushes/sweaty but obviously don't know if I'll have an episode tomorrow xx

Yes the test is looking for increased levels of adrenaline in your urine, that is the reason they do it over 24 hours as if a tumour is present it will increase your levels within that 24 hour period.

Have you got high blood pressure as well?

I've had one episode when high blood pressure has been picked up. Cardiologist said that not everyone gets high blood pressure or it occurs occasionally xx
