I bought my mare from Philip, he is good but its a bit of a trek to his new yard. Also i prefer Mia Korenika (hence why im at livery with her)...i find she is really good at explaining things, whereas (in my experience) philip doesn't comunicate as well.
She's BSJA accredited and is close to you, i could pm her number if you like.
I think she's £40 for an hours lesson, but i should think Philip is the same. She can be hard sometimes, but i think she tailors to the rider quite well... ive been training with her for around a year and the only time she has been tough on me is if i needed pushing.
I guess its up to you to see who you get on with most....
I have lessons with Paul Crago, think he's too far away for you though?? He's in Berkshire, he's £40 too for an hour, he can be tough, but only when I'm having a bit of a blonde moment & need a push. We've improved loads in the last 10 months, if he's not too far away I can PM you his number if you like, he's BSJA accredited as well.
phillip is good, iv had a lesson from him, but he was too far away fior me int he end, so iv changed, but i found him really helpful, but hes a hard person to pin down lol
my friend is trained by him, and does amazing cause of it
I used to have regular lessons with Phillip when he was based at our yard. He is very technical but I did find him good. Now he's moved I have Fred Bergendorff who is very good too. And Nick Turner is good for SJ and XC especially for eventing.
He's the rider for my boss (well, now ex-boss). I can put you in touch with him no trouble! Her horse won H&H Foxhunter a couple of years ago (Romanov) and Phillip is supposed to be really nice. He does clinics too xx
