Phone holder for hacking...

So, what does everyone use when it’s hot? Some of my jodhpurs only have a tiny pocket - and my lightest high vis has no pockets.

I was wondering about a bum bag, saddle bags or a running arm thing. Ideally would be good to fit keys and money as well for when I hack to shows... even better a passport. What do you recommend?

tried tucking it in the back of my jodhpurs today... definitely didn’t stay put!! Phone are very big now to stash... think I’d need a bigger bra... he he

That’s fab - and very reasonable. I looked at horse ones and they were a bit expensive.

I have different sizes too, small is ok for leading mini ponies out, but medium fits over my bp

This used to be my approach, but now have leather boots which only just fit my calves in .

Definitely, I'm a large 14 and the small is v snug to do up even over a t shirt, I wouldn't ride in it as I'd probably burst the zip 😂
Mini pony helper friend has a small, she is a size 8, it's a bit large in summer but goes over a winter jacket just fine.

I have just received my solution. Ordered a running belt off ebay. It works an absolute treat. 😀

I have women’s cycling tops in fantastic neon colours and they have zip pockets at the back that you can’t even see.

Definitely don't keep it in a saddle bag, you don't want your horse running off with it if the worst happens. I like the riding tights with large phone pockets on the thigh, otherwise I use a running belt.

Don't like things round my back "just in case" the worst happens.

I do a lot of hiking and have a bum bag which fits in phone and things, as well as an elasticated side net for a bottle of water! Came in handy this weekend. It's constantly with me on the yard, whether riding of mucking out

I use a phone holster which is looped through my belt. I’ve got a few of them as I also use them when wearing jeans etc, which saves me having to swap the holster over each time I change clothes.

I use a running arm bag, I do have a very light weight hi vis cycling gilet which has a back pocket but I find cantering the phone bounces about too much.

I have a bum bag. Cost about £4 from Decathlon and fits phone, tissues, lip salve, gloves and even a small bottle of water when required.

Thanks everyone. Have ordered some high vis with pockets and now thinking waist belt or bum bag. Would a bum bag get a passport in? (Horse not human!!)

I've got a Horse Holster and I LOVE it. They come from the USA but it's worth the postage in my opinion. They're big enough to fit my sizeable iphone and a few extras like tissues, lip balm etc. and they stay pretty secure and are water repellent.
