Phoning for times ,rant

My daughter is doing Solihull dressage to music tonight .Schedule said phone for times yesterday, we did but it went on to answer phone every time[ They must have forgot it was bank holiday and paid staff were not in office] Left message.
She did a night shift last night 22.00 till 07.00 then stayed awake until 9 and phoned they were quite rude and said they didn't have the times there and there weren't many entries so it was on from 18.00 till 19.30 so come for then and wait.
She has now gone to bed , she is back on nights tonight. I have to go to work at 15.00 until 23.00 so her partner has to go with her and look after baby and he will have to finish work early so we need a time to compete.
I have just phoned them and it has gone on messages again.

Am I being unreasonable to want to know the time she is competing tonight. I think the place is no where as good as when Christine ran it she was so efficient. I don't want to upset them as I don't want entries refused.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ? I have left a message for them to phone me that was 1/2 an hour ago

No, they should be more organised in the first place. I find it much easier when places put times on the internet now, misses the phoning problems altogether then.

I think you have every right to rant especially when it clearly states the times to phone for times and then there is no one there to answer the phone. The organiser is meant to be organised.

I do though much prefer getting times from the internet, its easier for all.

oh poor you and Claire. It is totally out of order and i would not be happy either.
Places like the College at Kesoe are great as they text you times. That to me is an organiser who organises!! they are also ultra good if you want late entries or like i have had problems on the way and you turn up late they always do their best to help. Thats why thet get my entries ! Such a pity that Sollihul is your nearest venue because i wont go there because i think they are rude and disorganised and this just goes to show nothing has changed.
Hope they no longer hold the Winter champs there too.

Sorry a bit confused - did they say they had put the answer machine on the previous night between 6pm and 7.30pm because they didnt have many entries?

No it is bad planning on their part. In fact I think people need at least 4 days notice of their times due to committments etc.

I'm sure she will do well though
