One of my horses had a similar encounter once, and as he reached out to sniff one of the cows she licked him on the nose, leaving a slick of cow-slobber. He was absolutely horrified and spent the next five minutes wiping his nose furiously on the gate, the ground, and anything else he could get near trying to get rid of it!
Really nice picture but aaarrgghh cattle often carry lots of parasites, ie. Round worm. So wouldn't let them snuggle too close lol. Apologies if they are your baby coos so of course you will know if they have been treated
