Now I would really love some really professional shots done of pickle as I have none, and I dont go to any shows currently so no chance there! Was wondering whether I would ever be able to afford someone to come out and take a few piccies of jumping/hacking/flatwork etc. I am in the south east which obviously boots prices a bit! any ideas/?????

my photos are ok but not stunning the best I have of pickle is this one but its not quite right! Or I suppose there is the option of trying to enrol on some kind of photography course!

If you have a digital, just keep clicking away. every 100 photos you take 1 will come out just right.
Take photos if you put him in a new field, or a new pony comes in. get some one to shake a bag and those ears will prop forward and he will puff himself up and look good. Take photos with the sun on him, (make sure the sun is behind you). Make sure your background looks good too. good luck.. you could find a photographer, ask them at the shows if they will come out.... does cost a bit tho...
here are some of mine..

Hope that didnt bore you too much...

Just looked at prices there HUGE. Think I may just have to keep snapping, just annoying because jumping normally the only people watching are 10 year olds who take really strange photos, and my instructor is a total technophobe!

Getting his ears foward isnt a problem! he almost always has them foward and if you say his name loadly he puts them foward, its more getting the right shot! definetly going to make a good attempt at some good piccies

Like Jubbily said, just keep snapping

And if you want a really good photo, rest the camera on a fence or something to keep it still, and use carrots to get the horsies happy looking xD

Jess I think your photo's are always fantastic! Do you mean you want some posh prof ones taken?

thanks, I just want some lovely action shots really

Does your camera have a sport or multi burst option, if so you can usually press a button and it will take shots every 1-10 of a second, or whatever you set it too, so you can get loads of shots of faster work without clicking away only gettng one pic every few seconds.

yep it has continuous shoot, its just finding someone to use it all the kids that watch bless them try there best but most are too short/small to be able to even get pictures of pickles saddle! may try finding someone fairly tall to!
