H & H , as most know, visit and photograph hunts from time to time. You can look at the photos online and order from them. They came to our hunt some weeks ago- BUT...having looked at the price of photos from H & H I was truly shocked! They charge £16.50 for a 5X7 print!! Am I the only one who finds that incredible, bearing in mind one can get own photos printed for a fraction of that price?

Seems a bit much! But....you're lucky they visit you at all, they've not been to us for 8 years and before that they didn't come for 10 years :-(

Does anyone know the names/websites of the people who were taking photos at the Exmoor meet at Wellshead in the middle of April. I think one of them took a nice picture of me and my mate. My camera battery died as we arrived at the meet, so we didn't get a momento of our visit and would love to remedy this by purchasing a photo...

i heard that H&H commission the photos when they do hunting reports and therefore the photographer who took them cannot sell them and you can only buy them via H&H. The pricing is rather steep though!

I was at the Wellshead meet and taking photos. My website is https://picasaweb.google.com/bjc076 and the album you should look for is titled Exford Day One. You are perfectly at liberty to download and print any photos you like providing they are only for your use.

Lester. thank you so much - they are awesome pics and I was on the album. Looks like you are relatively local to me, if you are at the Festival of Hunting come and find me at the mink hound ring - I owe you a beer.

I fail to see what the cost of printing your prints has to do with the selling price of a professional product!

If it is a decent photo I am happy to pay for it. They also make fantastic gifts for difficult people. I have purchased some cracking photos from Sarah Farnsworth as well as lesser known photographers from the local area. They hang on my wall and whenever I look at them they make me smile and think of the day - money well spent I reckon.

The cost of the photo is so much more than the printing - diesel, camera equipment, entry fees and a living wage for the photographer all have to come into the equation.
