I posted earlier on in the week about my first go at Le Trec - http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=355908

here are the photos - was very proud with my little madam - especially as she managed to keep her tail relatively clean on the trailer - she normally comes off green!!

Just a nice one to show off how clean she was (she's the muckiest horse alive and took hours to get clean!)

The stand and wait - i still cant believe she did this - i'm looking around in the photo at my friends in astonishment she did it!

And finally the most ridiculously huge jump over a small hedge ever - we got 10 out of 10 for this - oh and much laughter from my friends and judge - the next jump that followed immediatley after this over the 'ditch' she flicked her back end up soooo high!

Anyway, just showing off. hope you enjoyed

You look like you both had a great time. She's a pretty little thing :)

She looks as if she's looking at the circles a bit suspiciously - maybe she didn't like to walk outside of them without you to help. Horse eating circles.

I'd recommend it to anyone - was so much fun and very laid back!

Yes the stand and wait had been practiced at home, with terrible results, normally she just follows me everywhere, plus you only get 10 seconds from leading them into the circle for you to get out. she just stood and chewed on her reins like some kind of special case!!

Aw bless her, looks like you had loads of fun. I always fancied trying it with Daisy but the stand and wait put us off as it would have turned into "How long does it take you to catch your horse?"

God I tried a Le Trec several years back as a possible option for my otherwise useless pony! Lol. He could not do the stand and wait bit at all! hehe. It is pretty entertaining though but although we got top marks for the fastest walk it was sadly yet another event I ticked off his list of 'can dos'! (long story to do with trotting poles!) Lol

Well done!
Did my first indoor trec recently. It was great fun. Did my second one to check it wasn't a fluke! Still great fun! But practise was definately required beforehand. My horse also did the 'stand and wait' (believe the correct term is Immobilty!) perfectly and i was soooo chuffed! She's a stroopy marish flighty TB madam and there was so much to see. Such a friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to tackling a full trec outside.
ps.Your horse looks lovely and so clean!! love the jumping photo!

I really want to do Le Trec! There's a training day near me next month, but I've got no transport :( I was a steward at a Scottish event when I was younger, and decided I'd definitely give it a go when I got my own horse.
