Thought I'd share some of this weekends photos with you all, a bit pointless but I just think they're super cute :D

The lice saga seems to be on a positive note at the moment (fingers crossed!) After having an awful night Deosecting them both this Monday just gone (7th) I still found live lice on them for two days later, but since then, all I've found is dead ones! They are no where near as itchy (Acer was by far the worst and for 2 days his whole coat was wet where he had been scratching with his mouth so much :( ) Now their coats are totally dry and they only itch very occasionally, which I think is partly due to them having such thick coats and its quite mild here for so much hair! I'll be re-applying the Deosect as it says next week so hopefully thats the end of the horrid critters!!

I also have a video I want to share - they're so well behaved for babies (well, I think anyway!) and this is just to show it, Acer's still scared of the electric fencing so I have to drag him back to do it up

And some piccies :D

How do you think they are looking? Acer has a beautiful mane thats growing very fast but a bit of a pathetic excuse for a tail! And Calypso has a beautiful tail and a frizzy mane that doesn't seem to be doing anything except getting frizzier!! Lol.

Little sweethearts. I'm so glad to hear their unwelcome visitors are vacating. The next deosect should finish them off. :)

fantastic photo's look forward to lots more in the future :) just realised there was a video as well! Can't wait to see more, how old are they?

Victoria - They are 7 months on Tuesday :p:D I can't wait to watch them grow up, not looking forwards to the moulting of all that hair, but still can't wait to see whats underneath lol!

Kat - I'm glad because everyone that sees them normally loves Calypso more!! They are both very cute but Calypso has a very dainty head which I think wins him all the love :D How are your two minis??

Very sweet, both of them. Keep an eye on their feet, these minis feet tend to grow slipper shaped very quickly. As for mane growth, hmmm, one of my fillies has a prolific mane about a foot long and a good tail, the other has a tail touching the floor but her mane has hardly grown at all at about 4" !! Stuff from Equine clothing.co.uk fits mine well if you need anything.

Hehe I think I just love Acers fuzzy afro!

Mine are great thanks coming on really nicely, can't wait to get my hands on them tomorrow as they currently resemble mud monsters! And I'm the same as you I really can't wait to see what's under all their fluff come spring! :D

Yes they had their first foot trim about a week or so ago and farrier is happy. Doing them in about a months time to see how much/how well they're growing and will then go from there. I'm so paranoid about lami I scrutinise their feet every single day!

Thats good, and keep plenty of fluid in their diet, fast fibre is good for them always add plenty of water to feed to keep everything moving through their tiny systems.

Thanks :)

They always have water in thier feeds and love warm water afterwards! They won't drink in their field though which is a bit weird, whether its cold or warm water they jsut don't want it! They always come in and drink though so I'm not worried, I just think they don't trust it yet!

I've finally managed to get hold of fencing - instead of sheep hurdles I got pedestrian barriers - so far so good! If the b*ggers manage to get out of that, then the electric fencing and then the hedging/post and rail/wire fencing, they can be wild ponies!
