Horse is on a fitness timetable and im away a few days this week so ideally want to work him tomorrow.

Would it be an issue to work the horse in the morning before physio at 12? Would that in any way impact the muscle and her assessment?

I would ask her but they are not answering the phone!

Also – is it likely that I can ride this week after treatment? Do horses normally get a few days off after treatment or can you ride the next day?

Thanks

Working before should be fine but I doubt after would be OK - can you not call the physio and ask?

they are not answering the phone, the message service is on, and I will be gone to the yard in the morning by the time they call me as I guess they wont have anyone back in the office until 9am. I will ask her when i see her, just wanted to see what other people have had to do - i.e. do the horses get left off for 1, 2 or 5 days.

I will go ahead and work him early :)

At the yard I worked at, we rode everything booked in for physio / any other treatments in the morning, then turned them out to have a stretch afterwards. When we could ride again depended on the horse, its treatment etc and we got told after the treatment what work to do with a particular horse.

work before shouldn't be a problem at all. Work after, that will depend on how much she has to do with him, and how severe it was, and the horse itself too, but physio should tell you when you can ride again and what sort of work you can and cants do for the first few rides :)

I think it would be fine to work him before, providing that he has a few hours' break before the physio session, ideally turned out.

I've never had the physio out to my horse (booking soon...) but whenever others at my yard have had it for their horses they are just advised to turn out the next day, then ride in 'straight lines' (i.e. no schooling/lunging) for three days, then back to normal. But that is for a reasonably fit horse just having a check up as opposed to physio for any major issues, I'm sure your physio will advise you tomorrow.

Yes you can ride your horse in the morning, with my physio I was told it was fine to ride the next day. So unless they find a problem would agree with the others and say you should be able to ride the next day.
