Hi all
I have a 6:1 Thoroughbred ex-race horse who is normally exceptionally calm and sensible. I took him hacking a couple of days ago and it was his first time hacking on his own for a while as he has been schooling jumping and hacking in groups.
Throughout the hack he was periodically napping for home, which he hasn't done before. Eventually we turned for home and as we went past another horse and rider, my horse spooked, He threw me to the ground and bolted. During his gallop he was knocked down by a Land Rover. He has had stitches to a hip wound and is battered, bruised and stiff and is on box rest for 2 weeks. I was wondering whether anyone has any idea whether there is anywhere nearby that has a equine physio pool that could be used to help exercise him during his recovery. We live on the outskirts of Bournemouth.
