Just been out with the little foals again. It is quite dark this evening though so the photo quality isn't too good. Here is my daughter with her little foal Cruise. This foal is almost 4 months old; he has had a few knocks and bumps; he was transported thousands of miles and was weaned from his Mummy a month ago

, but I don't think he looks too bad considering everything he's been through. My daughter absolutely adores him.

sorry, didnt mean any offence!!

he looks real stunning, not a great lover of the full spoties but love to se a blanket spot, how big will he make, he looks huge!!

He is lovely. Bless him he does have a few scraps on him.
Your daughter looks just like someone I went to school with.

Oh you couldn't offend me if you tried - don't worry about it

.

I think he should make about 16hh. She wants to keep him and is hoping he will make a decent showjumper. Appaloosas are generally pretty decent jumpers.

i crossed one with a tb, made a cracking foal, he got cast one night against the hedge in the field and died, was gutted, couldnt face having another then even though i love them!!

you'll have to keep pics of him posted so we can see him grow up

They all do, poor little things. They were being bopped while they had their heads stuck in the hay feeder by one of my mares (Golden), however she likes them now thankfully so has stopped pushing them around. She probably wasn't helping to make them feel particularly happy but she was letting 2 of them share from her feed bucket today so that's a positive step forward for her.

I'm sure my 11 year old daughter will not value your opinion on her choice of purchase, but thank you for your input

he is scrummy,im glad your daughter is getting on well, are you still letting her get on with it or have you intervened a bit,i think she will go far with him and he will be a good height for her when is all grown especially if you daughter is going to be tall like you !!!!

No I don't get involved in what she is doing with her youngsters, be they her own little foal like this one, or ones she has to back for other people. I do keep an eye on her though to make sure she doesn't make any glaring mistakes.

She's very proud of her little Appaloosa foal; she worked very hard to save up the money to buy him and I think she will do him justice. She's very committed to the horses, which is a delight to watch.

some people are so silly, no need to be rude!!

glad you're not bothered by them, he's gorgeous!! have you got any more pics of your horses?? especially more appaloosas??

Rara; he is a quiet little lad. Very sweet nature on him.

Cahill; I'm sure your kind wishes will be appreciated by her. I won't tell her just yet though as I wouldn't want her to come on here and read some of the posts on here. She's very much in love with her foal and would be upset by the comments.

Doesn't Meg look proud as punch with him?

He's lovely. You know my views on Appy's. I just love them, all of them. I'm sure she will have many years of fun with him. Looks like they've bonded already.

ah yes i have a child like that hes a good boy sometimes !! although i think he trying to steel my big fella from me lol, everytime i come back from riding its "can i ride him round the yard" etc he looks like a pea on a whale !!

Thanks Patches and HH. Yes Meg keeps on growing. She is already the same size shoes as me

.

She adores this foal and he really seems to love being with her too - they do have a nice bond.

Grump

Totally off topic, but you're not from Stoke on Trent, Staffs are you? It would explain why you're feeling a grump if you are!
