Hi,

I'm having a huge problem deciding what colours to choose! It's for a lead rein class and our jackets are green tweed, with a pink and mustard overcheck and have blue velvet collars. The pony is grey, my little girl is 4 years old and even though we are only doing the local shows, I would really love to get it right and look the part! We will also doing the mountain & moorland and I know you just use a plain browband for that. But, what colour shirt, tie, browband, ribbons, buttonhole? There is so much choice and I must admit my brain is frazzled, OH is being of no use either ;)

I hope some one out there can help me please!?

Blues and reds are always a winner or blue and silver is a bit different if they suit the pony

I would imagine that unless it's a completely open to any breed class that a M&M possibly isn't right for a non M&M lead rein

If not an M&M class I'd imagine the rider would need a navy coat too

I guess it depends on how small your local show is though

For M&M and Hunter Ponies it's tweeds and plain tack all the way. No fancy browbands,no need for a buttonhole. A pale yellow shirt is preferable to white. Tie & kids ribbon's should match and you can get some fantastic sets premade up for them. Ribbon colour I would go for either a bottle green or navy blue with silver & cream running through them.
