Bit pointless really but i've had Elmo 2 months now and i'm so chuffed with him!! So far he has not put a foot wrong he has been out clear round jumping and flew round, is hacking out really confidently on his own and generally enjoying his work!! When i took my instructor to see him she said he was a long term project as done very little schooling and was very unfit (only broken late spring this year) but had one hell of a jump in him so i decided to go for it!! It turns out all he really needed was a one on one relationship with a rider (he came from dealers) and he has come on leaps and bounds. Obviously lots of fitness work still needed but we are now thinking he will be ready for the intro at Oasby in the spring!! I am so excited about this horse and really think he will take me as far as i want to go in my eventing.....so im one very proud mummy!! :D:D

When he arrived:

Today....still a lot of work needed but he actually has a neck now and is really starting to muscle up behind!! He is a nightmare to keep the weight on though :(

Sorry for the incredibly pointless post but am the only horsey one in my family and just wanted to share how proud i am of him!! :)

he looks a bit less 'baby' now. He's a nice horse, glad to hear he is doing well.
Regarding keeping the weight on, he is probably to just taking the energy out off his feed for 'growing' not fat storage, and probably next year won't be such a problem. :)
