Picture of Elastic grackle

Here is a picture of my elastic grackle. I am looking for another one as this is slightly smaller than it needs to be!?? Does anyone know where I can buy one from??

Any help greatly appreciated.

Never seen one of those before! I can't quite see how it would be effective either, as by the nature of elastic, how does it help prevent the horse crossing the jaw?

They are normally used on racehorses, have you tried a shop specializing in race tack?

Cheers will try that. It is really strong elastic but has enough give so that the horse can open its mouth half an inch which they say they need to do so that they can flex at the poll. Seems to work for my lad anyhow & did on my eventer years ago but she was a TB so had a finner nose?!!

I know shires do one that is mostly leather with elastic inserts.

Cheers Emily someone told me about that one before. I have looked on racing tack shops to no avail. Think I may have to go for that unless I have one made specifically. I just prefere the all elastic would prefere it in darker elastic though.

I'm sure I have seen one in Gibsons at Newmarket, think website is www.gibson-saddlers.com they do race wear. Hope this helps.

If you want your horse to be able to open it's mouth a bit, can't you just use a leather one & not do it up so tightly
