picture problem......(stupid me)

can someone explain in 'dumbies language' how to upload a picture on here from 'My pictures' folder on PC?

im really not good on the PC.

Simple, you can't

You need to open an account on something like photobucket, put the pictures on there and then you copy the IMG code that is with the picture on photobucket and paste it on here.

I made this post on another forum - they made it a sticky and really seemed to help





I think this might be of some use to those who may need a bit of advice on how to do so. Sorry if its been done already - maybe we should make one a sticky in this section?

1. Upload your pics from your source - ie from you camera. Put them in a folder on your computer
2. Open the photo you wish to upload

3. Right click the photo, scroll down to "open with" and click "paint" or some similar editing software

4. Once open in paint check that the photo is massive - if so resize using paint (click the resize button) to a size more suitable for a forum

5. Save this version of the editied pic

* you can also make pics go side by side, by simply opening both with paint, and cutting and pasting.



Now your photos ready to go you need to host it somewhere. Most popluar choices include photobucket - but any good hosting site will do.



1. Register on a pic hosting site

2. Upload your using that sites uploader - usually very simple to use

3. The site will then show you the pic and its links.



Now the important bit!! You have to make sure you use image "codes" to make you image appear on the forum - this bit is easy peasy



1. In the list of links there will be one called something like "IMG code"

2. Highlight and copy this entire link ( if using PB it will copy it automagically)

3. Paste the link onto the post you are making on the forum

* the link should look kinda like

http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k403/yourname,,/DSCF0996.jpg[/IMG.]

(minus the last full stop within the bracket ( so it didnt make an image lol))



Without the IMG brackets you will post a link and not an actual picture.
