Am interested to see what your yearlings look like! I have 2, exactly the same age. One is REALLY bum high and the other looks like a normal full grown pony! Look forward to seeing the comparisons :)

yay one reply, thank you! She looks so different between a yearling and 2 year old! She's gorgeous by the way. How much did she grow between yearling and 2 year old?

Thank you, I think she's pretty too! :D

I really should have measured her more, however when I first got her (April 09) at almost exactly a year old she was in a 5ft rug. The following autumn she was too big for a 5ft3 but not quite big enough for a 5ft6. I measured her height this February and she was 22 months old, 14.1hh and half an inch (she then fitted her 5ft6 rug nicely). I measured her recently (early September) and she was almost 14.3hh and is a little bum high still. She is now a tiny bit big for her 5ft6 rug but not quite big enough for 5ft9 yet!

She's stood at about 14.2/14.3 now at 16months, and she's wearing a 5'9 rug which is a bit big on her lengthwise and is HUGE round her belly lol.
 
Sorry my pictures of my filly as a foal and 1 year old are on my other computer but here she is as a 2 year old at her first show!!! Your pony's are lovely!

Her dam is 15.1hh & her sire is 16hh - I was kind of hoping for a well built 15.1/15.2 sort of size - but I measured her a couple of weeks ago, and she is 16hh already, and has gone up again since!! It's just as well that she is a completely laid back cookie! I haven't had a horse this big for donkeys years!! :) Hopefully she won't grow toooo much more now - she is 3 now, so fingers crossed..... :)
 
they all really change between yearlings and 2 year olds! thanks everyone that's really interesting. look forward to the changes my 2 have ahead of them! and your horses are all gorgeous!!
