Pig oil

Anyone use this on their hairies to stop mud sticking? (Not made of pigs btw)

PMSL, I honestly used to think it was! Were you on New Rider when there was a post about it dripping off a roasted pig?!

I would hesitate to use oil on the dogs purely because it would transfer to me, their beds, the furniture etc. I just hose the little ******* down!

Yes - I use it on my traddie cob. However, when I used it WITH the sulphur added, it brought him up in an awful pink hot rash; apparently this is a common thing, so care needed (and patch test, which I didn't do :().

I tend to mix the Pig Oil with Tea Tree oil and then slap in on legs, manes & tails. Or baby oil does the same thing.

Me too :o

I have used it on the horses legs before, it works however it discolours white legs.

Not permanently.

Only temporarily, I use it and my lad has 3 white legs :)

This. I did my boy's legs, mane and tail this morning, despite him thinking I was trying to chop off his legs :rolleyes3: He will be a funny colour for a while, but it makes hosing lots quicker.

PMSL, a kid at the yard asked what the stuff was when I was decanting into a smaller container for ease today. I told him it was pig oil and he said 'Euw, how disgusting!' (He's Jewish) I had to explain between having hysterics that it wasn't made from actual pigs!! :biggrin3: Too funny!
