WEhere can i get this pig oil from thats talked about for horses with mites in their legs my lad is been driven mad,hes had the jab last week off the vet put he's still itching and stamping like mad

would i be able to use the frontline as hes had the jab or not?

i got my pig oil from tom brewster at heavy horse supplies, i mix it with sulphur powder also from them and apply once a week to my cobs legs x

cananybody please tell me what exactly is pig oil and what is in it? Only asking as my vey has just told me he doesnt beleive in it at all ! GRRR

To be truely effective you have to mix pig oil and sulphur together to prevent mites. If you want a long answer, PM me and I'll send you my long reply that I can and send to people wanting information about using this.

Your vet obviously has not been around the old boys with heavy horses who probably know more about them than he ever will with regard to looking after the feather.

That said, the modern applications do work such as frontline, but pig oil and sulphur are cheap and very effective and keeping the little blighters away.

I'm about to go out and get some pig oil and sulphur powder for Molly - she's a bit scabby and itchy and has possibly got greasy heel?
