Keaton and Murray came in yesterday for the winter.
They are underneath the 2 hamster tanks. I decided to get a bit festive too with the animal room!
The boys are nearly 2 years old now. They didn’t have the best start to life as they were bought by a girl who then moved out and left them with her parents, who were lovely people but had no idea what to do with guinea pigs. They answered an ad that I had put up and delivered them that day- in a tiny hutch with some newspaper and carrot. Both boys were extremely thin and one had been chewing the others ears.
Now they are healthy, happy boys.

I miss mine too.

Whenever I put veggie (or fruit) scraps into the compost bin for the tiger worms, I mourn for the guinea pig mouths who would have loved to munch into them.

It's amazing the joy they got from chomping pre-chomped corncobs, watermelon skin, sweet potato skin and all the rest.

Sigh.

The pics of the piggy mouths made me smile. When I was a child we had LOADS of pigs - my mum made a huge enclosure for them on the side of our house and they lived the life of Riley. Such cute little things. I’d love some more one day.

Oh such handsome boys!! I'm sure they're glad to be in where its cosy, it is getting PROPER chilly this week!

Love the festive animal room! I always intend to make the ham cages look pretty for Xmas but almost never actually do it lol

Awww so jealous, my girls are in my office and despite spending all day with me still run the min I go to pick them up

Your girls are gorgeous. One of mine is a little more timid if he hears a strange noise, but they both come over for a chin tickle and a cuddle when I appear.
They were petrified when they arrived, but our house is such a mad house that within a few weeks they were used to people, dogs and cats and had slotted into the chaos nicely!

They make me laugh every day, they are just such gorgeous gentle little souls.
