My pug has had it diagnosed in one eye, although it's not too severe as it's just appearing on his lower eye. He's on eye drops to prevent it from developing any further but vet believes it's entropion that's causing it. I'm not convinced as I don't think his eye lids turn in that much, and where the patch is on his eye, I personally think it's the hairs from his nose that's causing it. I want to refer him to an ophthalmic specialist for a second opinion as vet wants to operate on the entropion but says there's no guarantee that is solve the problem as he's not sure what the source of it is! But annoyingly he won't refer me to a nearby specialist and wants to just operate, which makes me think he's only in it for the money.
Just wondered what people's experiences of pigmentary keratopathy in their dogs and if any of them made a good recovery, or at least how it was managed.
I'm scared he's going to go blind, but frustratingly the same vet saw him several times with reoccurring problems in the same eye but never noticed it, and it's something that can take months to develop.
