I have a grey 5 year old ISH who I have had since April. Over the summer he lost his grey hair and know has pink pigmentation over his eyelid. Could this be a copper deficiency? I am feeding him pink powder now with his feed.

Thanks any ideas appreciated.

Our cob has white around his eyes - had it when we bought him-people have often said copper deficiency,, similar to cattle apparently. Never bothers him and has stayed the same whatever supplement we give - just looks like he has specs on!

Yes it could be copper deficiency. If it is caused by excess iron or manganese, you might need to supplement large amounts of copper before it will be corrected. Pink powder will not do this as it contains iron and manganese and nowhere near enough copper.

Try the balancer from forage plus or progressive earth, both low iron and high copper, instead
