Hi all, I'm lucky enough that my horse isn't sensitive to soya etc... especially being an ottb! Condition wise she is a very poor doer... I've been trying to do research but can't find an answer to this question... what is more conditioning...

Allen and Page Soothe & Gain vs Keyflow Pink Condition?

I've heard great things about both! I know Pink Condition is a base feed and Soothe and Gain is a complete feed but would Pink Condition and a balancer be more conditioning then soothe & gain? I always feed Spillers Conditioning Fibre alongside anything and she has fibre cubes in her treat ball.

Thank you!

P.s I know there is other feeds out there but its these two I really want to find an answer to!!!

When Baggs my 20 year old was going through his ulcer treatment, I popped him on Allen and Page Soothe and Gain - within two weeks I was feeding half portions as he proper loaded the weight on and kept it on, even when fed the lower amounts. It's free from soya, alfalfa and also has linseed in there which is great for gut health x I fed a chaff with the Soothe and Gain (think it was a grass chaff) and I found that it worked a treat :)

Assume you’ve checked for ulcers with his racing history?

My TB had them, once treated we fed A&P soothe and gain or muscle and focus as ingredients virtually identical plus micronised linseed and healthy herbal chaff x

Soothe and Gain has more digestible energy/KG which is what’s going to put the weight on.

ETA ignore that as I didn’t see you were looking at the Conditioning one! But to put weight on you need to look at digestible energy per KG, the higher the better.

Oh brill thank you, I was looking at the fibre! Thanks for your advise 😍🥰xx

Yes she's clear of ulcers, I've spent 💰💰💰 on investigations into different things and all came back clear 😅😅. Do you know a way to store the micro linseed? I bought the equiglo one and it attracted slugs and all sort of insects even in a closed seal container! X
