Following on from my post yesterday:.......
http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5389518/an/0/page/1#5389518

I have bough a tub of pink powder and a sack of allen and page calm and conditioning cubes...............this will be fed alongside her 1.5 scoops of speedi beet and a handful of hifi.
I know the c&c cubes will need to be introduced slowly but what about the pink powder? does that need to be introduced slowly too or does she have her recommended amount straight off? never fed it before so tips would be good!
Just to re cap shes a 4yr 16.1 TB mare, very skinny! whos in light work

Thanks

Def no prob with recommended amount straight off, the great thing with PP is you dont need very much (from memory loading dose for my giant was 4 tiny measures then after a while down to 2 ongoing). They dont even seem to notice it in their feed! So would go straight for it on PP and gradually as you say on the C+C cubes.

good luck, PP worked great on my grumbly tummy boy!

if you read the tub it does normally say how you should do it it said on mine it was introduce by half a scoop at a time i think but cant remember properly as been on it a while

i bought some for the first time yesterday too! It's the smaller tub and doesn;t say anything on it about introducing it gradually. My skinny TB is on C+C too! Have also got some micronised linseed to add

I too have just started my very skinny TB on NAF Pink Powder. He is having three feeds a day and a has a scoop of pink powder in each. It smells like milkshake powder! I am feeding conditioning cubes, alpha a oil and sugarbeet. I've only had him ten days and progress is going to be very slow as he is so thin but his coat has a bit of a sheen now which is nice to see.
Good luck with yours. Think we may go on to calm and condition in future once he has some weight on

NAF Thrive I'd of thought, would have been better for weight gain, but I hear some very good things about pink powder too, though not tried it myself
