Took my dog for an MOT at the vets yesterday!
She is 13 years old and has never really been to the vet so took her for a check-up!
The vet said she was in excellent condition although she has a 2 stage heart murmor!
Poor pooch has to go in all day in 2 weeks for a dental! she will not be impressed!
Any one elses dog had this? were the results good- i am hoping it will help with her maggoty breath!

we get loads of dogs (and cats) in for dentals when they have a smelly breath. its quite likely that at her age she will need teeth removing and it may well be infected, loose teeth that are causing the smell. Your vets will remove any teeth and scale and polish the rest and they will look great!! sometimes dogs have actual staining that cannot be removed (not even with ultrasonic scaler), but dont worry about that! if teeth are infected i would imagine they'll send your dog home on antibiotics. your pooches teeth will be pearly white again!!!
