We really only took her for the experience and excercise so I took her on my friend's shoot over strines. She didn't pick anything up because I didn't ask her to- she is only 6months old and I have always thought starting them properly too early sometimes make them bored.
She was an angel, stuck by my side all day, listened to everything I asked of her and was very very on the ball. I'm really happy with her behaviour as I also (stupidly) took the supposedly more grown up cocker spangle, Scaps. She was a nightmare, obviously has the same mentality as our yellow lab as she was good as gold for an hour and then just decided to p*ss about. She did pick up nicely which made up for her complete lack of obedience all day. The ironic thing is Scaps was sent away to be trained by someone we knew to be good, and Pips has been completely trained by my little brother.
I don't have any pictures of them from today but here is one for a couple of weeks back (yes, pips has grown again since this was taken)

Unfortunately teal the yellow lab could not come out and play as she still has 9small puppies to look after and isn't incredibly fit for beating. (plus she is a large pain in the bottom)

Ah, well done little Pipsqueak! Sounds like she was a very good girl

We have yet to do any shooting this season

The Midget lab is fully fit and ready to go. I dread to see how Tina will react when she realises she won't be going

aww bless. I've been down at OH's for the start of the season so missed the rolling purple moorlands and instead compromised for cover crops and his springer for beating, who I didn't get along with! I'm happy to be back on the peak but although the spangles might be fit it was me who was huffing and puffing today by the end of the second drive. Scaps was nakered when we got home but Pip just hooned around the fields some more
