Piriton Dosage for horse?

i've been recommended to try piriton for my horse's weird swelling head by a vet at work but he couldn't remember the dosage (he only deals with dead things now!!). Horse is 16.2hh middleweight type. Anybody any ideas how many to give her?

My 40kg dog gets 4x4mg a day and vet says he can go up to six to build up/in the summer months, not sure if that helps or not!!

My TB had a allergic reaction to something a few weeks back and my cob did last summer. they both had half a bottle of the syrup.I cant remember the exact measurement. But it was half. I also brought tescos own piriton syrup as it was only about £2. It worked a treat.

hi, my 11h exmoor is on 30 tablets of chlorphenamine (piriton) everyday for her allergies. not sure if this is much use to you?

My MW 16hh ID was on 12 a day when she had a bad allergic reaction about a year ago

i always keep a box if piriton in my vet room for the horses as my old horse used to come out in a strange rash every year when the stingers were first coming through.
Thought it was only me.
Oh well
