Takes me an hour or more stood in a freezing cold field to feed his lordship, two fields away we have approx 25 illegally parked caravans and associated vehicles making a right mess on the bridleway, well today the retards have a soddin bonfire on the bridleway, burning god knows with thick black foul smelling smoke drifting across the fields and me having to breath it in, so I phone the police to complain, what a waste of time, tries to palm me off with "I think officers are aware", so I ask yes they may be but what are you going to do about the fire and possible toxic smoke, oh that will be down to the fire brigade, so I ask to whom am I speaking and for his number, HE PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME, WHAAAATTTTT, BLOODY POLICE ARE CRAP, ONLY GOOD FOR SPEEDING FINES AND TAX DISCS

that's terrible, he should get a warning for that. make a complaint, ring the switchboard and tell them the exact time you called. i'd be LIVID too.

I give up, they never do sod all about bloody trial bikes all over the place either, bloody scooter went over a pedestrian footbridge behind us on sunday, this was to get to a pickup truck and about 6 noisy smelly blasted things in the woods, and were supposed to be saving the planet, Ive complained loads of times, never see a copper except the one one who excersises his dog from his police van and totally ignores all the bikes, is he too retarded to use his phone or radio, what is it with this picking and choosing who they want to apprehend, my oldest got fined for going in a bus lane in his car, copper pulled him in, I have no sypathy for him he shouldn't have done it, but 25 caravans making a right mess on a bridleway and bonfires and they aint interested, waste of time, where are they all, they cant ALL be eating dougnuts an drinking coffee surely

As regards the fire you need to report it to the enforcement officer of the Enviroment Department of your local District Council. With regard to the blocked bridleway this needs reporting to the access department of your County Council. If the caravans are illegally parked then the landowner needs to serve notice on the persons concerned and it will take about 2 - 4 weeks for them to be forced to move on.

Take pictures - carefully, and send them to the local council, papers and the Environmental enforecement agency. Also like others have said, make a direct complaint to the police, as high up as you can go, and copy the letter to your local councillor and MP for the area.

I bet the police are probably scared of these people who are making all this mess etc?

I have often though that what we need is a website that people can contribute to and we can mark all the places in the country where these people currently are, what they are doing that is anti social and the responses from locals. Or is that racist/sectarianist or whatever they call it? I think as long as its not called GypoWatch (which I quite like) it could be an idea!

It is just soo funny that you can get stopped for dropping a fag end and get a fine, or drive into London and get charges but they can burn harmful items and no one gives a [****]!

Unfortunately the police are always reluctant to deal with these people...they avoid any confrontation.
Quite a while ago..a friend was driving down the A3 by Guildford and there were 3 horses (trotters) being raced down all 3 lanes on the motorway...holding up all the cars...no police in sight.
On the other hand...a very old man was getting his cats and dogs taken from him, he mentioned that he would kill himself if people tried to take them....full blown armed response unit arrived in minutes!!!!
