Now I know the old fashioned way is lots of little plaits on a thin neck, and fewer on a chunky neck, however I have always found the less plaits the better. I usually do 8 down the neck, whatever the horse. I do them as "Anky" plaits, stitched up, doing the top of the plait quite loose so I can add an extra inch to the height of the neck. However, I've never tried the other dressage fashion of loads and loads of little vertical plaits with white tape. My question is, what do you think will be best for showing off Wes? Even when he puts on weight he will be a long, skinny horse, although his neck is well-defined and the right way on. So what plaits do you think will do him the most justice? If necessary I will experiment before he is sold, I can try out different ways and post pics. Any opinions appreciated!
