Hello,

Well as the postsaysthis is my 13 year old daughters firsttime hunting. It is part of the Pony Club hunt certificate but I would like some advice about turnout as I have never ever hunted (far too scared). Said pony is grey !! kept out allyear round and only has a bib clip. His mane is unpulled as he is sometimes showm M & M (connie). Will a running plait be ok if not help what can we do?

Thanks

Jane

A running plait would be fine- my sister hunted a Welsh C one season, and his mane was very long (well over a foot long- he was only 13hh!) and we tended to either leave it just brushed out, or whack it in a running plait. No one ever commented beyond how adorable he was, and what a super hunting pony he was. His tail was best done up though, as it was also kept pretty long and we didn't want it getting caught up... (he was like a my little pony!)

This is Natalia's lovely Kitty with me riding... Connie mare, unplaited but with a smart pulled mane. Nobody raised any eyebrows -

And this is my more usual mount this season... Unclipped Welsh section D with a running plait and a plaited tail -

Any help?
