My daughter (5) has requested that her pony be plaited up for the PC show. Which is fine but I'm crap at plaiting and have arthritic hands. Pony's mane is quite fine and not too long so I was hoping people could recommend products (super glue?) to make it easier to plait, she has specifically requested "pigtails like Topsy" so I won't get away with a running plait either.
Any advice is gratefully accepted, I always turn mine out as a native so never have to plait.

My go to is Quic Braid. It stops the hair being slippery so easy to hold and plait but isn’t sticky like a gel so bits don’t get stuck to it or your hands.

Some say don’t wash the mane but I always do for showing as otherwise you have dust and dandruff in it. I usually spray some on all the mane before starting and then a bit on each bit I’m plaiting. If the pony doesn’t like spray I spray into my hand then run it through the mane.
