I was wondering if people could help me with a sort of 'plan' for my horse
Since December i have been bringing her back into work after 2 years off. She is now 7 and before she had a 2year break she raced, completed about 5 cross countries then had a foal. So she has never been schooled etc.

She has coped well coming back into work but is very very spooky. She also has a habit of broncking when frightened!

Just wondering if people have any idea's as to what i can do, i want to keep things varied but she takes a long time to feel confident doing things so repetition is needed.

I want to spend the summer taking this slowly and at her pace as she blows up if you push her too hard.

Maybe i should just stick to hacking for a while before attempting light schooling?

any ideas welcome :D

i'd probably stick to hacking at the moment, and stick to one route on the way out but have the option of changing it slightly on the way home, or try hacking out with another horse but bringing her back by herself and possibly just lunging her in walk and a wee trot in the school so she gets used to the surface etc

Thanks that's what im doing at the mo, funny thing is she is worse when hacking with other horses, if they so much as look at something in the distance she panics!
I'm only hacking with people and horses that i trust otherwise we hack alone.

Wondered if long reining would help, i could long rein her on new hacks before i ride her on them?
