planning a training area in approx 1 acre paddock on a budget

any suggestions for a layout i want to practice dressage, poles natural horsmanship or handy pony stuff as it was called in my day on a budget at mo with just moving any ideas for cheap materials

Build skinny jumps, half the materials, collect abandoned traffic cones, big one can be filled with twigs, blue barrels are great, tyres all the same size and jammed together are safe.
If using a digger, make a coffin jump, they can be used for lots of types of jump
Construct a permanent grid type fence so you can come in four ways round, saves materials, you need to be able to slightly alter distances etc.

If you are talking about building an arena then you will need to spend some serious money. Doing it cheaply will prove to be spending good money on bad. Providing good drainage is the most important issue and the type you will need will depend on the soil type and the lye of the land.
