I have made a plan of action for the weekend! I will be washing my horses legs and tail and pulling his mane. Generally giving him a good tidy up. His legs are bit minging with poo stains all over the place lol. Also want to clean all his tack, wash my show saddle pad that is currently in the boot of my car getting muddy every time i chuck my wellies on it. Clean the car out, unpack all horsey stuff and leave neatly at the stables and get the car repaired and cleaned. It has decided to die on me this morning. And ride in the school on Saturday and HACK OUT on sunday.
Confidence is returning and want to get back into routine. I love schooling and 2 bad episodes in the school in 3 years on the horse I backed myself is not going to stop me ive decided. If i really think about it I am actually a decent rider, taught the lad everything he knows, we can now do most lateral movements and work lovely from behind engaging the quarters ect. (granted canter work could do with inprovement) He also will jump anything you point him at but this is not my priority at the moment.
So busy but hopefully productve weekend planned! What about everyone else?!

My weekend is getting donovan looking more like a neat little pony than a little mud monster that he is now, and then he is going to a yard to be broken to drive, so will be away for 8 weeks!! I am also having a driving lesson on saturday, then back to our yard to pull his bed out, scrub the floor, scrub rubber matting etc etc. Then Sunday,(as there is no pony!) it will be a LAY IN!!! Yay!!!

ooo lovely busy weekend for you then as well! had to pull my bed out last week and scrub the rubber matting when I moved my boy. It was a Killer! Actually my arms are just about recovered today but could barely move monday morning!!

My weekend, I'm hopefully going to see a potential share pone!

He sounds like he'd be a good fit for me (and has the added benefit of living on my route between home and work) but his owner didn't seem too impressed with me on the phone. I've a suspicion she's going to cancel at the last minute. Fingers crossed!

I've got a man coming to see my old mare with a view to buying her on Saturday. So Saturday morning will consist of a blitz attack on the layer of mud that is covering every part of her where there isn't rug.

Undoubtedly I will then think it's a good idea to pull her mane, and half way through decide that it wasn't such a good idea after all but have to carry on regardless!

(I'm also thinking of cleaning my car for the first time in about nine months, hopefully with the same zest as that employed to clean my mare...)

ETA: Forgot that I'm going down to stay with a friend Saturday night near Newport, and on Sunday we're going out for a hack together :)
