Plaque removers

Does anyone use dentisept or stomadine for their dogs teeth, if so do you find it actually works or just another way to part you from your cash ?

One of the vets used plaque off which she bought on-line, she swore by it for her dogs.

I alternate between enzymatic toothpaste and chlorhexidine based gels like dentisept, brushing at least 4-5 times a week, dog #1 has beautiful spotless teeth, dog #2 is predisposed to gingivitis and I feel this absolutely improves it.

I've had great results with Logic Gel which is enzymatic.

Thanks,. Ive been using dentisept on my old lad who had ulcers caused by plaque previously. New little spaniel who has only 6 teeth left has quite red gums and vet nurse thinks she may have a sensitivity but we don t know to what and recommended stomadine which is apparently new, but of course not cheap!

Sounds like they want you to use an antibacterial gel, something with chlorhexidine in it? Which enzymatic toothpastes such as logic don’t have.

Have you asked about pet dent oral hygiene gel? Looks a bit cheaper than both dentisept and stomodine.
