We'r on the way to the vet for x rays on her feet, shes been so sore the past couple of daya.:-( and had to get the emergency vet out for mild colic last night poor big baby so please please sned some good vibes for my girl x
 
Thank you basically poor horse has several problems with her feet including a corn, pedal bone demineralising, imbalance in one foot and very thin soles :-( vets said 2/3 months in and needs to grow a better foot before she can get back out in the field. have also taken her shoes off and she is a very sore wee horse tonight but a better diagnosis than i expected!!

Would hoof boots help? Might offer her a little protection til she's more comfy. I had similar problems and taped nappies to my horses feet to allow him to walk to grass and hand graze while on box rest.
 
"Better the devil you know..." etc. Poor girl, and poor you. But at least you have a diagnosis and as you say it could have been worse.

If its any consolation, a TB livery I have here with paper thin soles and a predilection to abscesses has been having large doses of Biotin and daily treatment with Keratex (both vet's advice) for 3-4 months. He is kept out 24/7 though with access to barns. The farrier came yesterday and in shoeing him called his feeet 'brilliant' - so that part of your horse's may be very solveable. Haven't heard of the demineralisation bit?

I send you every good wish for your girl's speedy recovery. (On the basis of the Pampers advert we can assume that plenty more vaccinations will be speeding to needy babies thanks to you!!)
