Someone PLEASE HELP!
I have a mare which is full KWPN (yellow papers and passport) and i was told that i could register her foal's with the KWPN. HOWEVER i have just been told unless she is presented to KWPN for inspection you CANNOT register the foal!

I have the same problem but with Oldenburg.
I have a mare who is branded, and passported Oldenburg but is graded Hanoverian.
I got told her foals could be registered Oldenburg but i have just been told that because she is NOT graded with Oldenburg her foals cannot be registered Oldenburg.

Please tell me this is NOT true.

I thought as long as the mare was with the studbook and the stallion was recongnised or graded with the stud book i could register the foal.

PLEASE HELP SOON!

You can always register the foal from the KWPN mare with the KWPN. Also when she is not yet presented for grading. In fact, a lot of people in Holland don't go to a grading.

You can also register the foal from your Oldenburg mare with the KWPN even if you did not use a KWPN stallion. What register is pending on the stallion that you have used.

Ok good. My concern now is i have a oldenburg mare but NOT graded Oldenburg and i have chosen a Oldenburg graded stallion. I wanted Oldenburg passport and Papers.
Is this possible even though the mare is not graded Oldenburg just registered with them?

Also i was told that the scottish sports horse society was excepted for reg B papers with KWPN is this true??
Basically i have a KWPN mare who was put to a SSH graded stallion and i was told the foal could have reg B papers. Is this right!

You have to post back your birth report form to Germany and then might be worth just contacting Lois Allard who is the Oldenburg rep in the UK and ask to be contacted/alerted of the branding/registration days in the UK in 2009. The germans will give Lois your details any way for her to contact you but might be worth just a phone call, also if you have any questions she'll be able to answer them. They did three tours last year in the autumn. You just take you mare and foal to one and they will insepect the mare and she will be graded into the stud book and the foal will be registed and branded.
Its really simple, don't panic!!!
If you have any questions please pm and either give me a call. Aslo will dig out Lois's number.

Good luck in communication with the Oldenburg society - unfortunately I found it impossible....last year, despite many calls and emails I never had any response from them ( all the details I had for them were correct) I know that there were other issues that people had with them from reading this forum, and that the grading/branding dates were changed. I have also tried this year to contact them and alas, had no reponse....

Who are you trying to get hold of?? I can honestly say i have never had a problem at all. Are you calling the main telephone number or one for a specific person?

The British Hanoverian Society will grade Oldenburger mares and as many of the Stallions are also licensed Hanoverian then the society will issue papers. The general rule is that Stallions have to be licensed Hanover and the mare graded into the studbook for pink papers. Much cheaper than Oldenburges. Ask about the Oldenburg extra levy on members.

No, this is not true SSH registered horses are not accepted for KWPN papers any longer - sorry!

I had the same carry on myself last year as I had a foal out of a KWPN mare (by Concorde) but by an SSH stallion. Foal had to be registered SSH.....

The above poster is correct. The KWPN will register any foal., where it is placed is dependant on the birth papers of mare and stallion parentage. Your youngster is eligible for Reg B papers only not for stb papers. The SSH has never been a recognised studbook of the KWPN as it is not a full WBFSH member.
