Please help - blood herd info

Hi,

My horse won't be able to to be ridden anymore and I'm trying to decide on the best future for him. Unfortunatley I don't have my own land otherwise I'd keep him as he really is such a lovely boy.
I do think the best option for him is is to join a blood herd. The 2 I've tried are unfortunately full already

I'm sure there's more in the country though...

yeah me too, no idea what a blood herd is!

It's a herd of horses kept for blood donations for vets and blood for medical advances. From what I read, it sounds like a stress free life. They live out as a herd and give blood every 6 months. Some places provide winter housing too.
