Please help - can't accept PMs!

Am I being massively blonde?!?! Can't find where on my account to activate the ability to accept them as appartently I am not at the moment.
Any help gratefully appreciated - am clearly inept!

go to the user options and select personal information and right at the bottom of that you will see accept pm or something like that then click on save.

Let me know if that is right i think it is tho.
