My horse and I have qualified for the Midland Winter Championships on the 24th March at Rodbaston College, Staffordshire.

I am DESPERATE to go, I've never had the oppurtunity to do anything like this in my life. My horse has just turned 20, and I've just turned 21 and I'm about to leave uni and enter the big bad world...

I've been looking for self-hire transport from Lincoln with no luck so far. The lady at Ginger Mare Horsebox has been really helpful but her insurance people just wont entertain us.

I'm 21 with a clean licence and no accident history. My boyfriend is only 20, but he has his full C1 HGV licence.

Does anybody know of any companies which may be able to help?
 
I used to live in Lincoln so know a few people there but no one that is going to Staffs. Sorry I couldn't be any help but I just wanted to say congratulations on your qualification and I hope you can make it!

Can you phone the organisers and ask them for advice?

They look amazing but the nearest branch is two hours away.

Will definatly bear them in mind if I have no other option, but with their 'day' timings I'd have to end up paying for about 3 days, which may work out just a little too pricey.

Well unless they've changed it they will drive the box to you for your requested time, take a scooter out of the back and drive themselves back again. Might have stopped doing this I suppose but I'd have thought it was worth giving them a ring.

Have sent an email to the horse box owners in Boston, fingers crossed!

Have also spoken to atacanter over they phone and they can deliver, collect and do the rental for 260 pounds in total. So this will be my back up :)

Looks like atacanter are the only possibility, the private hires insurance wont entertain us being under 25, despite having a full HGV licence.

Have worked out to use them for hire, delivery, collection and fuel it will cost me over 300 pounds which I just can't afford.

Looks like I'll just have to miss it :(

We might be able to take you, pay for my petrol and a burger at the show!
Theres a few oh, alright, a couple of might not be able to's though, so pm me. if i can help i will:D
