Sorry for any bad grammer/ spelling i still cant feel my fingers

I would go for a painting as it is something you can keep and remember for your 21st. Whereas money is spent and then often forgotten.

As for BE, all I can say is it is expensive! Sorry not much help.

Painting. BE is now extortionate! C.£200 to register yourself and one horse. £70 to enter one horse trials.

Definitely painting!

I love eventing but I would also say painting. This is because you havent really had a chance to try it properly and you may not like it. Get the painting which will last a lifetime and buy some day tickets to go BE to see if you do enjoy it... (now thats called having your cake and eating it!)

I'd say eventing membership - enjoying an experience and having the memories is a better present IMO. Or as a cheaper option ask for money towards registering and get some horse hair jewellery made.

I got a painting done for my mother's christmas present and she loved it. The horse is 19 now so nice to have something forever.

ok thanks everyone - a painting appears to be very expensive and im yet to find any painters that i like to any recommendations?
as for eventing that is the plan to try a few but im just so shocked by price!! that i've put off looking into it but im definatly going to give eventing a bash!!!
thanks everyone!!

I would say painting too, a lovely memory for life. For the same cost you wont get membership and many entry fees if you join BE!

A portrait of your horses is a wonderful and permanent reminder of them and of your 21st. I always think that for a special birthday a permanent present is best.

My husband does animal portraits, he has done lots for gifts, birthdays, weddings, christmas, anniversaries etc and gets amazing feedback from the recipients.

His website is www.mark-langley.com it is in the process of being upgraded but you can see loads of his previous commissions on there.

Happy Birthday!

Katt - just looked at your OH's website. What beautiful portraits.

I'd definately say a painting for a 21st. I had a set of 4 hunting prints just before my 21st and I still have them nearly 30 years on!
