Please help me house hunt :)

I've been a serial lurker for some time but ive joined as I need help from you wonderful people. Hubby has the possibility to change jobs so we are looking for an equestrian property within approx 45miles of Stansted Airport. Budget is ideally up to £550k, possibly a tiny bit more for the right place.

Need a minimum of 2 bed property (great if had potential to extend - don't mind doing work on it) and minimum of 2.5 acres and ideally some form of stables or shelters, some form of arena/school would be fabulous but not essential. Great if in a good location to hack too. Sorry seems like a lot to ask!!!

Are there any areas anyone could recommend and also any areas to absolutely avoid?

Contact Strutt and Parker, the airport are selling off the properties they bought when expansion seemed likely. Most of the houses at Mole Hill Green and Broxted seem to be for sale, and they will know which ones are coming on line soon.
Some are lovely, but generally have been rentals for a few years so need a tidy up.

It is a nice area, and because of plane noise more affordable than some places. Do make sure you aren't right under the flight path though! We are about 500 yards away from the landing line and I barely notice it.

I have PM'd you the details of my house. I used to drive from this house (Beds/Cambs border) to Romford every day for a year, & Stansted is about 45 minutes. It's just under your budget as well. Tracey
