I know on the scale of things this isn't huge but:
My boy is due to be PTS on Wednesday and will be collected by a pet cremetorium. We are on a farm with cattle and sheep in North East England, is this going to be a problem?
I'm off work unwell at the moment as I've made myself so ill waiting for this to happen, I don't think I could cope if it can't? The crem opens at 9 but 2 hours is a long time to wait?
Any advice/ideas?

I would think you are well out of the catchment area up there for it not to affect you this week, last time areas got quarantined as and when outbreaks were discovered and a set mileage area round them were shut down to movement of animals and eventually it was so bad the whole country cam to a stand still, I would have thought you'd be safe this week as it is my understanding the outbreak is down in surrey.
I am very sorry you are having to have your horse pts.

Can't see there bing any problem as you are miles and miles from the affected area. Will be thinking of you Wednesday. Big hugs.

I would imagine you will be alright. I have been in your situatin re pts a horse and if its any comfort to you I found this waiting to be the worst part. When she had actually been put to sleep it was actually a relief, as I knew it was the best thing for her. Hope that makes sense and doesn't sound too callous. Sending you loads of hugs and will be thinking of you on wednesday.

Will be thinking of you on Wednesday.

I went through it myself earlier this year, so now how you must be feeling.

Oh no I am so sorry to hear this...I have my horses in with cows/sheep sometimes and it must be so hard for you.
I love the country side and am often in contact with farmers and try to use local produce as much as poss.
Foot and mouth has caused such deverstation in the past and many people have had to have lose their loved animals, it is such a shame.
Lots & lots of cuddles going out to you...
Ill be thinking about you on wed...
