please help to rehome horses

hi,

my dad recently passed away leaving us with three horses to rehome. We have a stunning cob who has occasionally been ridden in the past more so driven he is 19 years old and then we have a shire cross hes not as big as a shire he is about 18 years old. Both are beautiful horses and have lovely personalities. Problem is we dont want to part them they have been together all their lives. We are so very upset at not being able to afford to keep them. We desperatly want them to stay togther we would let them go for free to a good home.

We then have an 11 hand riding pony again free to a good home. Time is of the essence, this is very sad time for us ontop of our very sad loss. Please get in touch or pass my details to anyone who would be interested. The first two horses live out all year and have a barn for shelter and are rugged. Relatively low maintenance, lots of love to give and would be ideal as companion horses.....

So sorry to hear of your loss, i will keep my eyes peeled and ears open for anyone who may be suitable. Again, so sorry to hear of your loss.
 
I know they say they are mostly full, but is it worth trying a horse charity, as in this case the owner has died so the horses are effectively homeless? They won't take in any horses where the owner just can't afford them, but if they were 'bequeathed' to the charity, then they would have no choice, surely?

It must be worth a phone call to a few, especially for the two veterans - it would be sad to split them after all these years, as you say.
 
I have tried every charity i can think off and because of the amount of abuse and neglect this year they are bursting! We really dont know whatelse we can do x x x
 
one is more so than the other not much road experience at all between them but very calm and easy to get on with i used to ride then one when i was younger.
 
its so sad but please vet the homes before letting them go to anyone the was some one looking for horses to go on her farm in shropshire i think it was horsehunter but vet them first and signe up a agreement they must not be parted or sold on with out you premision ,
